PageTurnerz is operated by Paul Brooks, trading as Page1Publishing.

2. Who we are

PageTurnerz is an editorial discovery platform for indie fantasy and romantasy authors and readers, operated by Paul Brooks (trading as Page1Publishing). For any privacy-related questions, contact us at hello@page1publishing.com.

3. What we collect

• Readers' Circle sign-ups: first name, email address, and the reading preferences you provide (genres, tropes, reading pace, preferred ebook format).
• Author applications: name, email, book title, genre, link to your book and the details you supply about your work.
• Contact form submissions: name, email and the contents of your message.
• Basic analytics: anonymised usage data such as pages visited and approximate location, collected to improve the site.

4. How we use your data

• To match Readers' Circle members with suitable books and send the monthly book email.
• To review author applications and respond to enquiries.
• To send occasional PageTurnerz editorial updates (you can unsubscribe at any time).
• To maintain and improve the website and our service.

5. Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data. As a general rule, we do not share your details with featured authors or third parties for marketing.

Author mailing-list opt-in (per book, per author). The one exception is our post-review mailing-list opt-in. Immediately after you submit a review for a book, you may be offered the option to join that specific author's reader list. This only ever happens when you actively choose to click "Yes, keep me updated" — the default is not opted in, there is no pre-ticked checkbox, and no data is shared without that explicit action. When you opt in, we share your email address with that specific book's author only, together with the book title and the date you opted in, so they can add you to their reader list. You can unsubscribe from any author's list at any time using the unsubscribe link in their emails, and this choice is made per book and per author — it is never a blanket setting.

We may otherwise use trusted service providers (such as email delivery and analytics tools) who process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR and similar laws you have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw consent to marketing emails. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@page1publishing.com.

7. Cookies

PageTurnerz uses a small number of essential cookies to make the site work and, where enabled, privacy-respecting analytics cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.
